Cologne - Cathedral South Tower
Photos from a visit to the south tower of the Cologne Cathedral – a fee buys you a steep climb – with some interesting views.
During the last days, I’ve started to rework a number of last year’s digital images from Cologne. These can be found on the extended Cologne album page. I started with some photographs from the interior south tower of the Cologne Cathedral, which are available on the corresponding album page. All of these images are also available as high quality Epson K3 inkjet prints, on matte, luster, or glossy paper. Contact me if you’re interested.

Tenerife - Mirador La Tarta
A bend in the road cuts thru the strata of vulcano ash.
After leaving the National Park and turning on the TF-24, the road on the “spine” of Tenerife, the Cumbre Dorsal, offers many excellent views back to the Teide and on the coast far below. And at La Tarta also a good view of the “inner workings”.

Tenerife - Near El Portillo
Just opposite the visitor center, a desert-like area of Teide broom.
While Jenny and Susanne went to the visitor center to watch the movie about the vulcano history of Tenerife and the Teide, I took a stroll along the path heading of to Arenas Negras. The Teide broom bushes and the dead wood create a special mood in this place.

Tenerife - Cloud Finger
Strange cloud formations gathering at El Portillo.
On our way back to the entrance of the Teide National Park we stopped at the visitor center. Suddenly, ragged clouds with strange shapes came rapidly moving over a ridge.

Tenerife - Stray Dog
In the wake of the visitors, this dog is trying his luck in the Cañadas.
Some stray dogs, not that uncommon in Spain and the Canaries, were roaming the Cañadas near Los Roques and the TF-21 south of the National Park. This one at least gave a nice pose for the camera.

Tenerife - Los Roques the Canoncial Way
And of course, at Los Roques, one type of shot can’t simply be avoided.
True, this is the typical postcard signature image of Los Roques, but I couldn’t resist. ;-) At least the clouds around the Teide provide some welcome break in this scene.
