M87 – Virgo A – NGC 4486 – Supergiant Elliptical Galaxy
M87 aka Virgo A aka NGC 4486, a supergiant elliptical galaxy in Virgo. Recently, in April 2019, the Event Horizon Telescope project published the first direct image of (the shadow of) the supermassive black hole at the center. The cutout shows the blueish plasma jet emitted from the central black hole.

Daten vom November 2018. Vor allem ein Test, um herauszufinden, wie weit mit der Belichtungszeit herunter gegangen werden muss, um gute Sternfarben zu erhalten. 100s mit der ASI 294MC Pro bei Gain 120 und f/5.5 scheinen brauchbar, 200s waren schon zu lang. Details bei Astrobin.

Ein paar erste Deep Sky Bilder vom diesjährigen Namibia-Aufenthalt. Leider hatte insgesamt etwas astrountaugliches Wetter mit Kälte, starkem Wind, Regen und Gewitter(!) nur wenige nutzbare, klare Nächte zur Folge.
Alle hier gezeigten Bilder sind mit meiner neuen ASI294MC Pro entstanden. Unter gutem, dunklen Himmel kann man mit der One Short Color Kamera sehr gute Ergebnisse erreichen.
