Seen near Palacio Episcopal while walking along Calle de San Augustin.
Not one of the major historic buildings listed in the travel guides, but somehow this facade caught my eye.
It’s that time of the year again. The sucessful import of Halloween made it into the Cologne zoo, nicely decorated.
And of course, this is the much needed canonical Halloween shot as a proxy for more images to be found on the fotocommunity site, like this linked image and the following ones (click the left arrow). Actually I was quite suprised, that the session yesterday with high iso and slow shutter speed yielded quite a number of halfway decent images.
A visit to La Laguna, walking the streets during the Siesta.
Actually San Cristóbal de la Laguna, which is the complete name. The old town is part of the Unesco World Heritage.
An outlook from a decaying outpost at Pico del Ingles.
This continues the Tenerife series with new images from a second trip to Tenerife during our autumn vacation. After the ghosttown this ruined, decaying building at Pico del Ingles featured an interesting mix of light, shadows and landscape.
The early bird gets the gorgeous soft morning light.
Actually, this is a step backwards in time, two days before the last image here. Maybe the Velvia look of this scene in 2003 is more atmospheric? Well, let’s see what Photoshop can do … ;-) There has been a pause in the Gröde images here, because I’ve been messing around with the database structure und application for creating the entries, see the SLISH project for more details. If something on this site went awry, please let me know.
And one more thing.
An assortment of images, both from last year and more from this year, can be found on the album page Kölner Lichter.
