Tja, und dann ist sie auch schon wieder vorbei, diese seltsame Jahreszeit im Rheinland, 6 Tage Ausnahmezustand in Köln, leider dieses Jahr mit erheblich mehr Gewalt, weil einige wohl weniger die Fröhlichkeit als viel mehr den Exzess suchen …
Zeit auf jeden Fall für ein paar Impressionen von den Schull- und Veedelszöch am Sonntag und dem Dellbrücker Zug am Dienstag, die jetzt frisch im Album Kölner Karneval 2009 dazu gekommen sind.

stadtbild köln is the new photography book by Sabina Derl, Jörg Henne, Martin Junius, Hans Löhr, Ingo Neumann, Alexandra Schmitz, Christian Unbehaun, Oriane Viale und Birgit Voegels. Cologne of course, but certainly not your usual postcards.
The images which you will find on the following pages are refreshing, spirited, original, authentic, powerful and honest. They are never tawdry or trivial, neither silly, boring, nor pleasing. And they do not need any annotation to enrich.

From the landmarked, restored old terminal building to derelict barracks and a decaying container home used for the one season of the “Big Brother” TV series, Butzweilerhof provides quite a contrast of photographic opportunities. The new album Butzweilerhof contains a number of black & white images from a shoot in March.
