Continue readingAgain, two months to gather enough photons for this image. The bulk of the exposures were taken during a spell of five clear, cold nights in Feb 2021, though. The emission nebula IC 410 also includes the open cluster NGC 1893.

Continue readingA new approach to the Pacman Nebula with the L-eNhance filter and bicolor processing. No so much for clear skies in the winter season here, took over two months to gather some meagre 10 hours of exposure time.

Continue readingSchon vor einigen Monaten fertiggestellt, aber hier noch gar nicht erwähnt: das Fotobuch zu den Namibiareisen 2018 und 2019, mit Eindrücken vom Fish River Canyon, dem Köcherbaumwald, aus Windhuk, vom Gamsberg und natürlich von Hakos. Und eine reichliche Serie Astrofotografie, insbesondere der Aufenthalt 2019 mit der “Schönwetterkatastrophe” (auch für eh schon sehr gute Namibianische Verhältnisse) war da sehr produktiv.
A spell of quite some clear nights around the September new moon provided ample opportunity to catch enough photons for a well-known target.
